Lagasse Jr. and TeamSLR Preparing for 2013 Season

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (January 10, 2013)— With the season right around the corner, driver Scott Lagasse Jr. (www.scottlagasse.com) and TeamSLR (www.teamslr.com) are anxious to take the next step in building a winning program.  Competing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series again this year in the Boy Scouts of America / HybridLight #8 Chevrolet, the team will be running no less than 15 races including the season opener at Daytona, plus Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Richmond International Raceway, and Kentucky Speedway, just to name a few.

The season opener is a little over a month away and Daytona International Speedway is not only one of Lagasse Jr’s favorite tracks, but he considers it his home track.  Lagasse Jr. is a Florida native who grew up in St. Augustine just north of Daytona. This race is the closest to home for the driver and the team.

Lagasse Jr. Finishes Season Strong in Homestead, Looks Towards 2013

HOMESTEAD, FL. (December 19th, 2012)— In the final race of the 2012 season, TeamSLR and driver Scott Lagasse Jr. finished out the season with a solid race that provided momentum and excitement for 2013. “We did some things well and we recognize that there are many areas that we need to work hard and smart in if we are going to compete with and outrun the many well established teams in the sport.” said Scott Lagasse Sr.

We have the makings of a great group beginning with the Boy Scouts Of America and HybridLight as well as the many dedicated individuals involved in building this program and competitive cars. Florida’s Own Lagasse Jr Readies For Homestead – Miami Race and Increased 2013 Effort

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (November12, 2012) Hybridlight and the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) return for their third and final race of the season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway with driver Scott Lagasse Jr. before embarking on no less than a 15-race schedule in 2013.

Driving the No. 8 TeamSLR Chevrolet, Lagasse Jr. will have the benefit of having Daytona 500 winning crew chief Tommy Baldwin serve as his crew chief in his second Nationwide Series race at the south Florida track. Lagasse Jr. and TeamSLR have established an alliance with Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) to assist with the transition into the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Student gets A Ride To School Via #8
