Bobby Mesmer and TeamSLR Ready for Road Atlanta

The Trans Am Series heads to Road Atlanta this weekend for Round #2. Bobby Mesmer will pilot the TeamSLR/RMG No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro. The race will be Sunday, April 10, at 12:30p.m., with both Qualifying and Practice events on Saturday, April 9.

TeamSLR to Field Cars in Trans AM Series

(St. Augustine, Fla.) March 11, 2016

TeamSLR (Scott Lagasse Racing) returns to road racing this season to compete in the Trans Am Series with a pair of new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro’s.

The team will field one Camaro for the entire 12 race schedule with New Jersey native, Bobby Mesmer. Bobby will be behind the wheel of the #7 Camaro competing for Rookie of the Year Honors. Oval track specialist Scott Lagasse Jr. will drive the #17 Chevy Camaro in select races throughout the season as his schedule allows. TeamSLR is also considering adding a third car if the right opportunity presents itself.

Scott Lagasse Jr & Alert Today Florida Have Solid Run At Homestead-Miami Speedway

Driving the Alert Today Florida/Pinch A Penny/Boy Scouts Of America/ Beck Chevrolet Silverado in the final race of the year, Scott Lagasse, Jr. recorded another top-15 finish.

Before this weekend, Scott Lagasse Jr. had only seen the Homestead-Miami Speedway through the windshield of a NASCAR Xfinity Series race car. NASCAR Camping World Trucks handle dramatically different and Homestead-miami is arguably one of the most difficult tracks on the NASCAR circuit to navigate for a driver. Lagasse took advantage of every minute in Friday’s only practice session to adapt to how these trucks handle at 185mph through the tricky corners. He had the added challenge of racing against drivers that race these trucks every week and have a high level of comfort in these really fast trucks. Lagasse had his work cut out for him, but with his skill and experience, he was up for the challenge. He and his crew chief made adjustments to the race truck and brought it up to a competitive level by the end of practice, in spite of several challenges that included changing a transmission.
