Scott Lagasse Jr., former ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards winner at Kansas Speedway, will be competing Friday night, October 7th at 8:30PM EST Live on SPEED Channel in the “Kansas Lottery 98.9 at Kansas Speedway”.

Scott Lagasse Jr. will be driving the no. 20 LivePrepared.us/School of Life Foundation Chevrolet for Venturini Motorsports. Scott took part in the full day ARCA test on Sept. 20th and was at the top of the speed charts in both practice sessions. “I am really excited about the race and the opportunity to work with Live Prepared as we introduce them to the racing community and people throughout the world. I love Kansas, I’ve won here before, and I am excited about teaming up with Bill and Billy (Venturini) in this race.” In two previous outings driving for the Venturini’s, Scott Jr. won at Chicagoland and had a top ten at Talladega earlier in the year. Scott continues to win regularly on dirt and has wins on asphalt in modifieds, Late Models, ASA National Touring Series and ARCA.

Jack Rolfe, founder, “The School of Life Foundation is committed to the social, moral and character development of youth. We donate our workbook, ‘Learn to School Your Toughest Opponent,’ to sports teams, schools, church groups, at-risk programs, and other youth organizations. The book offers life-guiding principles and values to help youth achieve straight A’s in the school of life.”

While representing Live Prepared in the race on Friday night, Scott Jr. is working to raise awareness and funds for 18 year old Megan Watkins, to assist with her current fight against cancer. “I am going to be donating a portion of my winnings to help Megan and am proud to become a soldier in Megan’s Army. She is a great girl and she is responding positively to her current treatments. Her family just needs some help with the enormous bills that come with the whole process.” Visit www.megansarmy.org to help her.

Scott Jr. will also be racing to continue to bring awareness to a local Kansas City Charity www.Bensfund.org that Scott was introduced to by Ben Cote, whom he became good friends with in 2007. Ben eventually lost his battle with cancer a short time later at the age of 8.
